Juvenile Killed, Two Injured in Beaufort County
Sheriff’s Office Investigates Two Shootings

On Sunday, August 28, 2023, at approximately 9:30 pm, deputies from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 300 block of Fording Island Road in Beaufort. Upon arrival, deputies located a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound. The juvenile was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

During the investigation, deputies discovered that two other individuals, both juvenile males, had also been shot. One of the victims was airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, while the other was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating these shootings. No arrests have been made, and no suspect information is available at this time.
