After 53 Years, Beloved Writer Says Goodbye

Bonnie Henry, columnist and author of Tucson Memories and Another Tucson, is retiring after more than 25 years with the Arizona Daily Star. Her column appeared Sundays and Mondays, providing readers with her unique perspective on the community, its history, and its people.

“It’s hard to shift from the plural to the singular after 53 years,” Henry said in a recent interview with the Star. “We went for a walk the other morning, 53 degrees at 10 a.m. Did I mention we were wearing shorts?”
