Enzo Maresca has revealed the warning he sent to Chelsea youngster Omari Hutchinson ahead of his first-team debut. Hutchinson, 19, made his senior bow for the Blues in their 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night. The winger impressed in pre-season for Thomas Tuchel's side and was handed his chance to shine against Pep Guardiola's men. However, Maresca, who is the coach of Chelsea's development squad, has warned Hutchinson that he must continue to work hard if he wants to establish himself in the first team. "I told him that he has to be ready to work hard every day," Maresca said. "He has to be ready to sacrifice and he has to be ready to learn. "He has the talent, but he needs to work hard to reach his potential. He has to be humble and he has to keep working hard. "I'm very happy for him. He deserves this opportunity and I'm sure he will take it with both hands." Maresca is eager to see how Hutchinson progresses at Chelsea. "He's a very talented player," Maresca added. "He has a lot of potential. "He's still young and he has a lot to learn, but I'm sure he can have a bright future at Chelsea." Hutchinson is likely to be given more opportunities to impress in the coming weeks. Chelsea are set to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday and they will then take on Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday.
